Texas Commissioner of Education Mike Morath, H-E-B President and COO Craig Boyan, and Jon Landis from Apple Education were on the TASA Virtual SummerCon Main Stage as keynote speakers, along with a panel that included House Public Education Committee Dan Huberty and SBOE Chair Keven Ellis. Thought Leaders Ruby Payne and Flip Flippen also joined us in concurrent sessions that numbered 70+. Did you miss the TASA Virtual SummerCon? Don’t worry! 70+ sessions were recorded and are available to registrants for viewing through Sunday, July 12. Register any time before July 10 to access the videos. Dr. Jon Landis is part of Apple’s International Education team, working with school leaders to leverage technology to transform learning. Prior to Apple, Dr. Landis served as a college of education professor, chemistry teacher, school principal, curriculum director and information technology director. He will speak to TASA Virtual SummerCon participants about the “Future of Learning, Today.” In light of recent events, how do we empower all learners and prepare them for a rapidly changing world? Now more than ever, technology affects the way we live, the way the world works, and the kind of skills people need to thrive. Technology also presents unique opportunities for learning. Join us as we share four design principles that can be driving the future of learning.
